I grew up in Berlin and my first connection to music was singing. When I was 5 I started to take lessons on a borrowed violin. I never really liked reading the notes, so I focused on how my teacher played the song I was supposed to learn and tried to play it by ear. After a few years I got tired of playing the violin - I wanted to sing!

When I started primary school my music teacher realized what a passionate singer I was and applauded me for a song I had sung in front of the whole class - I remember that feeling until this day. I joined the school choir and soon finalized my decision to stop playing the violin. I developed a bigger interest in playing the guitar - that way I could accompany my singing. After years of "House of the Rising Sun" I stumbled upon a Ukulele and fell in love with it. The rest is history ;)
